Al Hawkray is one of the supporting characters of the LOST SONG anime. He is the grandson of Talgia Hawkray and Rin and Mel's younger brother.

Al is Rin’s quirky brother. Although he doesn’t posses the power of song, Al still finds ways to make himself useful throughout the series. He developed star bombs which are small spheres which when thrown, explode into colors and smoke. Even though Al doesn’t see himself as an asset to the team, he still tries his best to help out.

Al is a smart and quirky kid. He cares deeply for his family, and feels responsible for Rin. Al has a habit of hiding his sadness, and only cries when he is alone or can’t help it. He is very smart and curious, loving to make inventions. Al enjoys listening to Rin’s songs, and tends to cheer Rin up when she is sad or blaming herself for things that she couldn’t control. He also takes on too much responsibility, putting other’s needs before his own, which can be both a blessing and a curse.
